The Rendezvous Beach Eco- Resort, also known as Redezvous Surf and Dive Fiji Resort, has some of Fiji’s best surf and dive sites within minutes away. ‘Cloud Break’ is an internationally known surfing site which is only 10 minutes away from the Rendezvous boat access ramp. The resort currently operates a 15 room eco-lodge and specialises in surfing and diving training courses and tours. They also operate an ‘on-site’ English language training school for Japanese students, who also learn to surf and scuba dive as well as learn about the Fijian culture.
The property is situated in the Nadroga Province, near to Momi on the Uciwai beach, a rural locality 20 kilometres from Nadi Town and 25 kilometeres from Nadi International Airport. The locality is generally known as Uciwai with sugar cane farming being the predominant agricultural pursuit in the area. However, more recently, surrounding land is being subdivided into residential allotments or for the development of larger ‘holiday lifestyle’ houses.
The strategic location provides an opportunity for Rendezvous to become the focal access point to link the nearby offshore island resorts of the Mamanucas with the surrounding farming communities and villages, to establish a supply chain business venture. A proposal is being developed by STIL for the Rendezvous Beach Eco-Resort to provide a centralised access point and facilitiy for storage, trade, transit and business networking between the 14 resorts and 6 villages in the Mamanuca islands and the 80 canefarmers and fruit and vegetable suppliers in the 4 villages in the Uciwai-Nabila-Momi region.
